Hot Stone Massage
WHAT IS
HOT STONE MASSAGE?
The heat from the stones has good effects on your blood circulation, which leads to a reduction of muscle spasms and could relieve muscle pain. The hard texture of the stones is not only beneficial for long-term ulcer formation but also normalizing any knots from prolonged tightness in your muscles. With massage therapy, Hot Stone Massage can reduce stress and anxiety, as well as boost sleep quality. This means it’s also good for a range of conditions and symptoms, like pain and depression.
HOW HOT STONE MASSAGE WORKS?
Smooth, flat and warmed stones are placed and rubbed on parts of the body. Quality is essential- we use lava stones which retain heat well. Stones are heated to 50°. Once heated, these stones will be placed along the body following the meridians to promote healing. This could include the back, spine or stomach for example.
